Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Experienced Cook/Barista to join our small café team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Your expertise in food handling, beverage preparation, and retail sales transactions will ensure our guests have a memorable experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and barista experience while contributing to a growing, family owned cafe!
Responsibilities
- Prepare bulk food items per recipes or chef's instructions
- Build food tickets to order on the line
- Prepare drinks per recipe
- Keep Grab'n'Go prepped and stocked
- Take orders and handle payments
- Maintain clean working area both in front and back of house roles
- Push through Dishes throughout the day so they don't get backed up
- Keep track of stock levels and help track/communicate when orders need to be placed
- Positive and Energetic attitude when communicating with guests
Skills
- Decent amount of experience in food service, café operations, or retail food environments with cooking or barista expertise is Required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Good math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality standards are maintained.

The pay is open to negotiation, above $20hr guaranteed, includes additional earnings from tips, and very much dependant on expertise/skill.
Sunday availability is a huge plus!
