Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Support Technician to join our dynamic production team. In this vital role, you will provide essential technical and operational support across manufacturing processes, by processing documentation, process auditing, reporting systems, workplace training and production engineering liason.
Responsibilities
1. Maintains process documentation system including document log.
2. Ensures all posted process documents are current and takes action to correct deviations.
3. Observes operators, collates information and drafts process documentation.
4. Liaison with product engineering to ensure deviations, change orders and samples are posted, and implemented in a timely manner.
5. Performs scheduled department audits following established audit procedures recording various measurements and noting variance.
6. Audits assembly lines and informs the supervisor and manufacturing engineer when non-conforming materials, process or procedure is encountered and may recommend corrective action.
7. Maintains database and reporting systems for Statistical Process Control (SPC), Quality Scoreboard and general production statistics. Generates, analyzes and issues reports.
8. Conducts time/motion studies and method analysis following established guidelines.
9. Updates and maintains time standard reference handbook.
10. Maintains plant layout CAD drawing.
11. Assists production supervisor in providing work-place training to operators when required.
12. Liaisons with production personnel, production supervisor, production technician and manufacturing engineer to make recommendations for process improvements.
13. Must work overtime when required.
14. Accepts any other duties, either temporary or permanent as directed by management, as long as these duties are reasonably within his or her abilities.
Job Requirements
1. At least 2 years formal technical electronics training, or 6 years on-the-job training.
2. Ability to comprehend and follow detailed procedures and instructions.
3. Ability to work with numbers and graphical representations.
4. Possess proven written and oral communication skills.
5. Ability to work systematically in a fast paced repetitive production environment.
6. Ability to work without close supervision in a self directed environment.
7. Demonstrable patience, and the ability to interact smoothly with others.
8. Above average computer skills.

Pay: From $21.91 per hour
