Position Summary
We’re hiring a dedicated Landscaping Install Crew Member to help deliver top-quality construction projects on time. You’ll work closely with our team to build and install features that transform outdoor spaces. This is hands-on construction work—not just maintenance—requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainable building.
Please note: This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a mid- to high-level landscape construction professional with solid hands-on experience in installation, hardscaping, irrigation, grading, and outdoor construction. Candidates should be confident working independently, reading site conditions, solving problems in the field, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship with minimal supervision.
Ideal applicants must have a strong background in landscape construction and understand the pace, precision, and accountability required on high-end residential projects. If you are newer to the industry or only have maintenance experience, this role may not be the right fit at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Prep and Demo: Clear sites, grade soil for proper drainage, and operate heavy equipment as needed.
- Hardscapes and Structures: Construct patios, walkways, retaining walls, fences, decks, and artistic cobble/masonry features.
- Irrigation and Lighting: Install efficient, water-saving irrigation systems and outdoor lighting.
- Plant and Material Handling: Plant natives carefully, move heavy loads like mulch (up to 75+ lbs.), and maintain site stability.
- Sustainability Focus: Apply eco-friendly methods to minimize waste and protect plants and soil.
- Team and Safety: Collaborate with foremen, follow safety protocols, and document work (e.g., receipts) accurately.
- Occasional travel and weekend shifts to meet deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in landscape construction or hardscaping (hands-on building, not just upkeep). Familiarity with native plants and sustainable practices is a big plus.
- Mindset: Self-starter who’s punctual, reliable, and eager to learn. You love problem-solving in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Skills: Strong communication (verbal/written, bilingual Spanish preferred), teamwork, and attention to detail for high-quality results.
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable lifting 75+ lbs., working outdoors in all weather, and handling demanding tasks like stooping, climbing, and operating tools.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license (Class A preferred) with 2+ years’ experience; available Mon-Fri (some Saturdays); able to drive long distances.
- Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent; construction training a bonus.
Work Environment
Expect full days outdoors on residential and commercial sites—sunny heat, rain, or cold. Noise from tools and occasional machinery is part of the job. We provide a supportive team, tools, and opportunities to advance.
