Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems including metal roofing and traditional shingle roofs
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install roofing materials according to project specifications
- Set up and secure ladders safely while adhering to construction safety harnesses and workplace safety regulations
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, siding, and other roofing components
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, and masonry techniques as needed for finishing touches on roofing projects
- Follow all safety protocols during outdoor work environments including proper use of scaffolding, fall protection equipment, and construction safety harnesses
- Read and interpret construction plans and schematics to accurately execute roofing and siding installation tasks
- Conduct restoration work or remodeling projects involving framing carpentry or metal stud framing when required
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and ensuring all safety measures are followed at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or roofing preferred; familiarity with roofing repair, metal roofing, siding installation, or related trades is highly valued
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, ladder use, and heavy lifting techniques
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including fall protection harnesses and ladder safety procedures
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is advantageous
- Skills in fabrication, carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry, plumbing or welding are a plus but not required
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely throughout the workday
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety protocol adherence
- Must be able to speak, read and write in english
