Description:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing all custodial staff and managing the maintenance and upkeep of campus buildings and grounds. This role ensures a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors, while supporting continuous improvement in facility operations.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise custodial staff and oversee daily maintenance operations

Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of all buildings and grounds

Perform and coordinate basic maintenance work, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs

Monitor facility conditions and establish maintenance goals and standards

Assist in evaluating facility performance and implementing corrective actions for ongoing improvements

Coordinate and supervise contractors when specialized work is required

Prepare cost estimates, gather project data, and manage purchasing of services and materials

Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and evaluate alternative products for efficiency and cost savings

Process purchase orders and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities
Requirements:
- Experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field

Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices

Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
