Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options while adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote sales of beverages.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance our drink menu offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; communicate needs for restocking or ordering.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods and support bar management in daily operations.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
- Assist in catering events or banquets as needed, providing excellent service in various settings within the hospitality industry.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender with a strong knowledge of cocktail mixing, spirits, wine, brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; previous experience processing cash transactions is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, food safety practices, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a food service environment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while promoting sales opportunities.
- Previous fine dining or hospitality industry experience is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of beverage trends including craft beer, mixology techniques, spirits expertise, and wine knowledge.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events as required by the hospitality setting.
