Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented team player to join our fast paced breakfast establishment. In this vital position you will be responsible for working with a team to assemble and present made from scratch high-quality breakfast sandwiches and dishes to our community as well as contributing to our general kitchen functions including prep work and dishes. Your expertise in food preparation, safety protocols, and kitchen operations will ensure a smooth, efficient morning service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and guest satisfaction.
Required hours including weekday opening shift beginning as early as 5:00AM and *some* possible rotating weekend shifts. We can guarantee you are off AT or BEFORE 5:00PM daily making this a wonderful opportunity for folks who love working in a kitchen but desire to have their nights & weekends to themselves!
Duties
- Assist in opening the restaurant each day
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes, menu specifications, and customer requests in a consistent, quality, and timely fashion
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Ensure proper food production techniques are followed for high-volume breakfast service, including food portioning and presentation
- Adhere strictly to recipe adherence to maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of all breakfast offerings
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with confidence and consistency
- Excellent knife skills a plus with the ability to efficiently prepare ingredients for multiple dishes
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume production settings
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Friendly attitude paired with a willingness to work well with your team members in a close knit environment along with people who may be different from yourself
