Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organization in all guest areas
- Assist with food running duties by delivering dishes efficiently while adhering to food safety protocols
- Support the bussing process by removing used dishes, glassware, and trash to keep the dining space tidy
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using clear, professional language to coordinate food delivery and guest needs
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or prep tasks when needed, always prioritizing safety and hygiene standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for order processing and billing
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests in person
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Experience with food running, serving, bussing, or banquet service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food preparation techniques
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances the dining experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
