American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and NRP Advanced certification.

Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract
-
Level III NICU in an acute care hospital setting
-
65-bed unit with a staff of 200+
-
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
-
Equipment includes isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
-
EMR systems: Meditech and CPN
-
4 weekend shifts required per schedule
-
On-call required
-
Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)

NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification required (American Academy of Pediatrics card)

Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required

Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Unit team includes a charge nurse, team lead, transport nurse, RNs, respiratory therapists, and unit assistants on both day and night shifts

Teamwork and a positive, adaptable attitude are essential for success on this unit

Navy scrubs required

Unit policies and guidelines will be reviewed during onboarding

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
-
Permanent positions on the unit are available for night shift and weekend days following assignment completion
