The Supervisor position is responsible for leading a growing, last-mile pick-up and delivery operation based out of San Jose, CA providing delivery and courier service throughout the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will report to operations personnel, coordinate with customers and other leadership team members, and ensure cost effective operations in branch operations. This position will be responsible for independently managing an operation of 40+drivers and focus on safety and security, meeting delivery KPIs, delivery-related projects, asset management, and basic payroll functions.
This position is full time Monday - Friday from 0400AM-0100pm.
Accountabilities
o Manage and provide high-level support to management staff and drivers
o Responsible for basic payroll functions
o Train and influence operations team on initiatives and route optimization projects
o Accountable for managing delivery metrics and meeting customer KPIs
o Anticipate challenges and implement/drive solutions.
o Conduct hub audits and reinforce policy and procedures as they relate to safety and security.
o Resolve escalated delivery issues and follow up with ongoing customer communication.
Qualifications
o High School diploma, some college preferred
o 3+ years of supervisory experience in logistics, transportation management, or supply chain services preferred
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a team member
o Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and effectively prioritize multiple simultaneous demands
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
