We MoveZ / Wilkins Enterprises, LLC is hiring an experienced, hands-on Moving Team Lead / Crew Lead to lead residential and commercial moving crews in Branford and across the Connecticut shoreline.
Schedule
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- Approximately 10–30 hours per week
- Hours vary based on scheduled moves and employee availability; weekday, weekend, and early-morning work may be available
Compensation
- $25–$40 per hour in base pay
- Starting rate within the range is based on verified moving-crew leadership experience, truck/oversized-vehicle driving experience, safe driving history, reliability, and job-related qualifications
What You’ll Do
- Lead a full moving crew from arrival through job completion
- Introduce yourself and the crew to customers, review the confirmed work order and scope, and set clear expectations
- Serve as the primary on-site customer contact and provide professional progress updates
- Assign crew responsibilities and maintain an efficient, respectful, safety-focused job site
- Work alongside the crew to wrap, protect, carry, load, unload, place, and assemble customer belongings
- Protect homes, businesses, furniture, equipment, and moving vehicles from damage
- Safely drive and maneuver moving trucks, box trucks, or other oversized vehicles when assigned
- Complete required job documentation and a final customer walkthrough
- Promptly escalate issues to the We MoveZ Operations Team when appropriate, including scope or pricing questions, delays, property damage, injuries, safety concerns, customer complaints, payment issues, or requests outside your authority
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a full professional moving crew
- Experience safely driving a moving truck, box truck, or oversized vehicle
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to assigned start locations and a working mobile phone
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 pounds and perform active moving work, with or without reasonable accommodation
