Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs.
- Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual client needs.
- Facilitate individual and group sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Implement crisis management protocols to ensure immediate safety during mental health emergencies; perform crisis intervention and behavior management as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized service plans incorporating documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, documenting patient care activities and progress in accordance with clinical standards.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate services for clients with complex needs ; utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient care when appropriate.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Human Services or equavalent.
- Proven experience providing clinical counseling in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or mental health environments.
- Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and social work practices.
- Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those requiring special education support.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques; experience in hospital or clinic environments is highly desirable.
- Telehealth experience preferred for remote patient engagement; familiarity with HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality of patient information.
