This position reports directly to the Director of Data Center Service Delivery (DCSD) and is highly technical in Fiber Optics fundamentals, customer focused and self-motivated individual, providing onsite oversight and technical support for Go!Foton personnel and its customers. The On-Site Foreman is responsible for providing daily on-site operations, supervision of all subcontractors and technicians, site safety and quality assurance, and resolution to project issues in real-time. This role serves as the primary field liaison with the Go!Foton Project Manager and is responsible for coordinating labor, materials, and project execution while ensuring Team Leads are supported and positioned for success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet with Go!Foton Project Managers prior to project start to understand full scope, schedule, and expectations

Oversee daily field operations and support Team Leads in managing their crews

Direct and supervise all onsite subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project blueprints, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Lead and mentor internal technician teams, assigning daily tasks and providing technical guidance on fiber optic and copper installations.

Monitor project progress and communicate risks, delays, or material issues to the Project Manager

Act as the primary point of contact for the client, general contractor, and other trades, ensuring the company’s interests are protected and professional standards are maintained.
- Coordinate & manage labor, materials, and equipment needed for successful project execution. Manage all day-to-day activities on the job site, including material deliveries, staging, and workspace organization.

Ensure daily meetings, reporting, and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely fashion

Maintain real-time updates within the NEXUS project management tool, including daily logs, task completion tracking, and labor hour entries.

Monitor project burn rates and schedules to ensure the build stays within the allocated budget and meets the critical "Go-Live" dates.

Identify and document any deviations from the original Scope of Work (SOW) and report them to management for processing.

Perform ongoing quality control inspections to ensure work meets Go!Foton standards; correct any issues as well as report them to project managers

Conduct regular "walk-throughs" to audit work quality, ensuring rack elevations, cable pathways (ladder rack/fiber runner), and labeling are precise and aesthetically clean.

Identify and address job site safety hazards and enforce safe work practices

Assume ownership for self-development and training of co-workers and customers as needed.

Support training and development of technicians through on-the-job coaching and coordination with QC/Trainer; identify technicians that need supplemental training

Communicate Scheduling and Logistics regarding staffing needs and partner attendance

Manage materials on site and forecast any shortages or overages and report issues to PM

Oversee company vehicles, equipment, and materials to ensure safe operation, proper care and organization

Coordinate/oversee subcontractors and site personnel as required

Maintain clear communication between field teams and Project Managers

Ensure customer satisfaction through successful completion of project scope

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
The Candidate must have at least 5–7 years hands on experience in telecommunications or data center low voltage electrical construction, with at least 3 years specifically in a Lead or Foreman capacity. Prior experience in "live" or "new-build" data center environments is non-negotiable. They must understand the nuances of hot/cold aisle containment, underfloor vs. overhead pathways, and the fragility of high-strand fiber cables. Our Candidate must be expert in interpreting results from Fluke (or similar) testers for both copper and fiber (LSPM and OTDR), knowing the difference between a "pass" and a "marginal pass."

TRAVEL:
This position requires extensive travel. Candidates are expected to be on-site up to 85% of the time.
