Job Summary
American Deli is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can handle orders accurately in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable managing both in-store and delivery platform orders. The right candidate should also be willing to assist with basic kitchen tasks when needed.
Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate the POS system for dine-in, takeout, and phone orders
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payments correctly
- Manage delivery orders from DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly
- Answer customer questions about menu items and promotions
- Upsell products and promotions to maximize sales opportunities and support store goals
- Handle customer concerns politely and professionally
- Keep the front counter area clean, organized, and stocked
- Help with basic kitchen tasks when needed
- Assist with other team duties as assigned
