Overview

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, suspensions, and more.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension components, electrical wiring diagrams interpretation, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic problems.
- Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety.
- Replace or repair diesel engines, powertrain components, and automotive wiring as needed to restore vehicle performance.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, estimating service costs accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
Requirements
- Vehicle diagnostics — Perform accurate troubleshooting using scan tools and hands‑on testing
- General repairs — Brakes, suspension, cooling systems, electrical, drivability
- Preventive maintenance — Oil changes, filters, inspections, tune‑ups
- Documentation — Complete repair orders with detailed notes and recommendations
- Team collaboration — Work with service advisors and other techs to ensure efficient workflow
- Hands-on experience with automotive wiring diagrams interpretation and automotive electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with various power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; diesel engine repair experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Valid mechanic license or certification demonstrating technical proficiency in automotive repair.
- ASE certification preferred but not required
- Diagnostic experience with modern and classic vehicles
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical shop environment
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
