<Overview>
Big Dreams Transport LTD is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager professional to lead and oversee our accounting operations. This role will manage our accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting leadership with budgeting, operational analysis, and financial planning.
This position will supervise the Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams and play a key role in learning and managing our company specific software.
Experience in trucking, logistics, construction, or other asset-heavy industries is highly valued.
<Duties>
- Manage and oversee Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams
- Learn and manage the company’s trucking and accounting software system
- Oversee the monthly financial close process
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and collections
- Oversee vendor payments and expense coding
- Track and manage equipment and fixed asset accounting
- Analyze operational financial metrics such as revenue per mile and cost per mile
- Coordinate with outside CPAs for year-end reporting and compliance
<Skills>
- Business Administration experience
- 5+ years of accounting exposure, including team supervision
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger management
- Experience managing AP, AR, and Payroll
- Experience in asset-heavy industries (trucking, logistics, construction, etc.) is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and manage operational and accounting software systems

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
