As New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Rutgers Cancer Institute, together with RWJBarnabas Healthis a leader in cancer research, treatment, prevention and education. Through an integrated cancer care network, Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas health offers world-class cancer care providing the most advanced treatment options for patients throughout the State including clinical trials, immunotherapy, precision medicine, complex surgical procedures, and sophisticated radiation therapy techniques. Rutgers Cancer Institute and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility are one of only two programs in the state to offer blood and marrow transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy. It’s also the state’s only hospital-based proton therapy center.
Rutgers Cancer Institute is a cornerstone of New Jersey’s premier academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). RBHS takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.
