Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizza dough, toppings, sauces, and cheeses according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures meet health and safety regulations to maintain a clean working environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or seasonal specials based on customer preferences
- Maintain high-volume production standards while adhering strictly to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines
- Support food safety management practices by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences in a lively restaurant setting
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation or culinary roles, preferably with pizza or similar cuisine
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in high-volume environments
- Background in the food industry or restaurant experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with grilling, braising, poaching, or other cooking techniques is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on maintaining quality standards in fast-paced settings
