Fort HealthCare Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative specialty care team. This provider will work closely with our pulmonologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with sleep-related disorders in our sleep medicine clinic.
The ideal candidate is patient-centered, highly organized, and interested in providing comprehensive care for individuals with sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and other sleep-related conditions.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 36 patient contact hours per week
- Outpatient clinic-based role
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients referred for sleep-related concerns
- Conduct comprehensive sleep medicine consultations and follow-up visits
- Review sleep studies and collaborate with pulmonologists on care plans
- Diagnose and manage conditions including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, hypersomnia, and circadian rhythm disorders
- Initiate and manage therapies such as CPAP/BiPAP and other sleep-related treatments
- Educate patients on sleep hygiene, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Coordinate care with pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and primary care providers
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
