Analyze historical data and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates for large commercial roofing projects.

Attend pre-bid meetings and review specifications and drawings to determine project scope and requirements.

Prepare conceptual and final estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals and timelines.

Provide technical support to estimating teams and collaborate with other departments to evaluate rates and strategies.

Track awarded contracts, manage change orders, and support procurement and material coordination.

Design roof layouts using Roof CAD software and ensure compliance with permitting and engineering standards.

Maintain documentation to support estimates and ensure all warranties and specifications meet manufacturer and jurisdictional requirements.

Conduct site visits, participate in project handoffs, and perform post-job reviews to ensure quality and continuous improvement.

Monitor and influence safety compliance and support the sales team with value engineering and customer-focused solutions.
Education
-
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or related experience
Experience
-
5 to 8 years estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience required
-
At least 4 years estimating experience using Edge software
Skills & Requirements

Must have experience estimating large commercial roofs (over 20,000 sq. ft.)

Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required.

Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts, plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort essential

Minimum 18 years of age
