Louisiana Mortgage Associates is experiencing continued growth and is expanding our Mortgage Operations Team. We are currently seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Processors and Mortgage Closers. We are open to hiring a processor, a closer, or individuals with experience in both roles. Candidates with experience in both areas are especially encouraged to apply, but expertise in only one is absolutely welcome.
Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented professionals who take ownership of every file, communicate proactively, and enjoy solving problems to help loans reach the closing table efficiently.
Duties
Responsibilities may include, depending on experience and role:
- Process residential mortgage loans from submission through closing.
- Review loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and investor compliance.
- Analyze income, assets, credit, title, appraisal, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, insurance agents, investors, and real estate professionals.
- Prepare files for underwriting and assist with clearing underwriting conditions.
- Prepare loans for closing by reviewing Closing Disclosures, closing documents, and funding requirements.
- Coordinate closing schedules and ensure all closing conditions have been satisfied.
- Monitor pipelines, lock expirations, appraisal status, funding requirements, and closing deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, investor requirements, and federal and state lending regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of recent experience as a mortgage loan processor, mortgage closer, or both.
- Strong working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM loan products preferred.
- Experience working with multiple investors and agency guidelines.
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance, and the mortgage process.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple files while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
