US Frame Factory is a rapidly growing manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing products used in construction projects across the country. From churches and gas stations to multi-story hotels, our products help bring a wide variety of projects to life.
We are looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Roll Forming Machine Operator to join our production team. This is a hands-on shop position that requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure and product dimensions.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, machine operation, automotive repair, mechanical shops, or similar hands-on environments are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Operate roll-forming machines to produce steel studs and related components
- Read a tape measure and interpret product dimensions accurately
- Inspect finished products for correct length, straightness, alignment, clean cuts, and overall quality
- Read product codes, gauges, work orders, and production schedules
- Complete coil and product changeovers accurately with minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues and assist with routine maintenance and repairs
- Minimize material waste and help the team meet production goals
- Properly band and label finished steel products
- Communicate clearly with team members and production leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing, production, fabrication, automotive repair, mechanical, or similar hands-on shop environment
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and understand basic dimensions
- Experience working with hand tools or shop equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and production schedules
- Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work consistently and on time
- Willingness to work early, stay late, or work overtime when production needs require it
- Safety-focused mindset and willingness to wear all required PPE
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on shop position. Candidates must be able to perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift and move heavy materials or objects
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, squat, reach, and move throughout the shop
- Handle materials and operate machinery throughout the shift
- Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating or maintaining roll-forming equipment or similar manufacturing machinery
- Quality control or product inspection experience
- Experience reading gauges, measurements, or production specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Leadership potential and a desire to grow within the company
