Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Men’s Tailor/Men’s Stylist to join our day of wedding services team with possible regular men’s formal tailoring. In this role, you will be the expert in men's clothing, providing tailored solutions that elevate our customers’ style and confidence. Your expertise in garment construction, clothing alterations, and fashion styling will ensure each client receives personalized service and impeccably fitted apparel. Responsibilities
- Provide professional tailoring services including clothing alterations, garment sewing, and styling of men's wear.
- Assist customers in selecting styles and fabrics that suit their personal taste and body type, offering expert fashion advice and styling tips.
- Operate pressing machines and pressing equipment to ensure garments are finished to the highest standards of quality.
- Perform hand sewing and sewing machine work for detailed repairs, adjustments, or customizations.
- Measure clients accurately using basic math skills to ensure precise fitting and garment construction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of fabric materials, stitching techniques, and garment construction processes to deliver durable, high-quality results.
- Ensure all garments are pressed and finished professionally before delivery or display, adhering to company standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of men's wear tailoring, clothing alterations, and garment construction techniques.
- Proficiency in sewing machine operation, hand sewing, pressing machines, and press operation.
- Strong understanding of fabric materials and their appropriate handling during tailoring or styling processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
- Experience in fashion retail environments with a focus on men's clothing and styling services.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately.
- Familiarity with women's wear tailoring is a plus but not required; a versatile skill set is highly valued.
