Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver products to various locations.
- Load and unload items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Execute route driving efficiently by planning and managing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
- Assist with setup and installation of delivered equipment or furniture at customer sites, ensuring proper placement and functionality.
- Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery logs.
- Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or similar roles involving route driving and heavy lifting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading, inventory management, or forklift operation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, moving items safely, and operating equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with load securing techniques for safe transport.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and adapt quickly to changing schedules.
