Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash, credit card payments, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist in merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains inviting and well-maintained
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts to maintain optimal product availability
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, particularly in grocery stores or similar environments, is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential for smooth transaction processing
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially when overseeing team members or training new staff
- Bilingual abilities are valued to better serve diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain products and handle customer concerns effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations accurately
- Experience in grocery store operations or retail sales transactions enhances your ability to succeed in this role

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
