We're looking for a Fab Process Technician to join our night shift team, running critical wafer fabrication processes in our cleanroom.
Responsibilities:
- Follow clean room protocols, SOPs, process engineer's instructions, and fab priorities for running all wafer processes, including photolithography, metal and dielectric deposition, CVD, dry/wet etching, wafer/chip cleaning, and wafer dicing.
- Work safely in a clean room environment, including safe handling of chemicals and other hazardous materials; able to lift 10 pounds and perform the physical requirements of wafer processing.
- Willing to learn and perform microscopic inspection and other wafer fab processes as needed.
- Perform metrology tool calibrations and wafer measurements, record data into corresponding SPC files or databases, and perform basic tool maintenance.
- Report any failures or anomalies in the wafer fab to process engineers; support process and equipment engineers with troubleshooting.
- Actively support and maintain a safe working environment by modeling and monitoring established company safety programs on the manufacturing floor.
- Ensure the daily production plan is completed in full.
- Drive 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement within the factory.
- Provide training to new employees.
- Prepare wafers for shipping.
- Keep the fab environment clean.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1 year of wafer fab experience preferred, especially processing photonic and waveguide-related device wafers; general semiconductor experience also considered.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email, and other web/office applications) for factory automation, analysis, and communication.
- Able to work night shift, including required overtime.
- Ability and willingness to adjust schedule as needed to support training, coverage, and off-shift meetings.
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, 3 or 4 days a week)
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
