Evolve Healthcare is a growing multi-provider integrative medicine and primary care practice located in Woodland Hills, California. We provide comprehensive care including primary care, functional medicine, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, weight management, preventative medicine, wellness services, and telemedicine.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Biller to assist with immediate back-billing projects and ongoing revenue cycle management. Compensation may be structured as hourly, percentage-based collections, or a hybrid model depending on experience.
Position Summary
The Medical Biller is responsible for managing all aspects of the billing and collections process, including claim submission, payment posting, insurance follow-up, denial management, patient billing, and accounts receivable reporting.
This role supports multiple providers and is critical to ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement across both insurance-based and cash-pay services.
Experience with CharmHealth (Charm MD / Charm EHR) is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Management
* Process and submit insurance claims through CharmHealth
* Manage back billing and historical claim corrections
* Post insurance payments and reconcile EOBs/ERAs
* Track unpaid claims and aging accounts receivable
* Handle denied claims, corrections, and appeals
Insurance Follow-Up
* Communicate with insurance companies regarding unpaid or denied claims
* Resubmit claims when appropriate
* Maintain detailed documentation of claim status
Patient Billing
* Generate patient statements
* Manage patient balances and payment plans
* Answer billing-related patient inquiries professionally
Coding & Documentation Support
* Ensure accuracy of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
* Verify documentation supports billed services
* Coordinate with providers for missing or corrected documentation
Reporting
* Prepare weekly AR and collections reports
* Identify billing trends, denials, and revenue leakage
* Provide updates to practice management
Required Qualifications
Required
* Experience with medical billing and insurance claims
* Familiarity with CharmHealth (Charm MD / Charm EHR)
* Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple providers
Preferred
* 2+ years medical billing experience
* Experience in primary care, integrative medicine, or multi-provider practices
* Familiarity with PPO, HMO, Medicare, and cash-pay billing
* CPC certification (a plus but not required)
Compensation
Flexible structure based on experience:
Hourly Option
* $28 – $35/hour depending on experience
Percentage-Based Option
* 4% – 8% of collected revenue
Hybrid Option
* Base hourly pay + performance-based incentives
