Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment using advanced fabrication and welding techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering tools to repair sheet metal and damaged vehicle frames.
- Use hand tools, power tools, frame machine, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to prepare surfaces and apply finishes efficiently.
- Execute fabrication repair techniques such as cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components for restoration projects.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to auto restoration, auto repair, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining safety standards and quality control.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey.
Skills
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role within a dealership or independent shop.
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding repair, fabrication, sanding, and auto painting.
- Proficiency with MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, and automotive repair systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, assembly equipment, and heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and experience in auto restoration projects is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong customer service skills to ensure high-quality work that exceeds expectations.
