Summary of position:
Directs and coordinates shift manufacturing activities and related departments. Give direction to hourly production team members. Maintain production schedules.
Essential Functions:
· Working leader of all personnel and operations on the shift.
· Assists technical personnel in changeover, repairs, maintenance projects, etc.
· Maintain production levels to meet customer demands and achieve proper levels as dictated by schedule.
· Meet with management on status of production levels, product quality, scrap reporting, etc.
· Communicate with outgoing and/or incoming Team Leader to review production requirements, machine problems, etc. to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
· Maintain realistic work-in-process levels.
· Schedule production employees to specific machines/duties in order to meet scheduled production requirements.
· Responsible for training of new team Members.
· Dotted line responsibilities of “on shift” quality and maintenance personnel.
· Maintain the flexibility of working on any shift as required.
· Responsible for mentoring new team members.
· Adhere to and administer company policies/procedures pertaining to their job.
· Actively seeks out areas for improvement and devises/aids in the development of counter measures.
· Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO/TS16949 and has the responsibility to contact Team Leads and/or stop processes that could ship a non-conforming products.
· Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO14001 and ISO 45001; the company’s environmental, health, and safety risks of their job, and how their job affects the environment.
· Any and all other tasks assigned by management.
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
