Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, where you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive safety and environmental programs. This pivotal role ensures that our manufacturing operations adhere to all regulatory standards, fostering a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will serve as the key authority on workplace safety, environmental management systems, and regulatory compliance, empowering teams to operate efficiently while prioritizing health and safety.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety policies aligned with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation law.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and environmental inspections to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Oversee training & development programs on safety regulations, hazardous materials handling, emergency response procedures (including CPR and first aid), and environmental compliance standards.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations, workplace safety protocols, environmental management systems (EMS), and occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility across all manufacturing processes.
- Manage documentation related to safety incidents, inspection reports, regulatory filings, and compliance records to ensure transparency and accountability.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, EPA environmental standards, hazardous materials regulations, and occupational health practices.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings.
- Strong report writing skills for incident reports, audit findings, and compliance documentation.
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, OSHA training credentials, or environmental management systems (EMS) are highly desirable.
- Expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment techniques, and implementing effective safety training programs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees at all levels on safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze complex situations quickly and develop practical solutions that promote workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
