What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Responsibilities include:
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Maintain vendor accounts, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage vendor relationships, including monitoring subcontractor compliance holds and ensuring contract terms, including pay-when-paid provisions, are met.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and other electronic disbursements.
- Assist with weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing while maintaining supporting documentation and spreadsheets.
- Monitor accounts payable to ensure invoices are paid timely and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain fixed asset records and assist with required regulatory and authoritative filings.
- Support month-end accounting activities and help maintain accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- Experience preparing financial statements (Required)
- Previous accounting experience in a professional environment (Required)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
