Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cashier/Stocker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the checkout while also ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced grocery store environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide a friendly shopping experience.
- Stock shelves with products, ensuring that items are displayed neatly and are easily accessible.
- Maintain cleanliness in the store by regularly cleaning work areas and ensuring that all products are properly labeled.
- Utilize pallet jacks for moving heavy items and assist in shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Conduct inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Use RF scanners for inventory tracking and management purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes is a plus.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and RF scanners is advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued, as they enhance communication with diverse customers.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean work environment are essential for success in this role.
