Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is made to perfection while providing an exceptional experience for our customers. This role requires attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a quick-service setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met during food handling and preparation
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and upselling menu items
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Perform bussing duties as required to maintain a clean dining area
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is advantageous
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining individual accountability
