About the Role
Powerhouse Gym Fort Lauderdale is looking for a friendly, professional Member Concierge to be the voice of our club. In this role, you'll proactively reach out to current members — checking in on their experience, resolving concerns before they become cancellations, and making every member feel like more than a key fob number. You are the person who turns a good gym into their gym.
This is a relationship role first and a phone role second. The right candidate genuinely enjoys people, listens well, and takes ownership of a member's problem until it's solved.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound calls and send emails to current members: new-member welcome check-ins, experience follow-ups, and outreach to members whose visits have dropped off
- Handle member inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly, professionally, and with genuine care — owning each issue through to resolution
- Coordinate with the front desk, training, group fitness, and operations teams to resolve member concerns and close the loop
- Document member feedback and flag recurring issues or cancellation risks to management so we can fix root causes, not just symptoms
- Recognize member milestones and wins — anniversaries, goal achievements, referrals — and make members feel seen
What You Bring
- Excellent customer service instincts with a warm, approachable style
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — you sound like a person, not a script
- Comfort on the phone, including multi-line systems and high call volume
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay composed in a fast-paced club environment
- Attention to detail, follow-through, and real problem-solving ability
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality coursework or degree a plus
- Previous experience in front desk, guest relations, member services, or call-based customer care preferred
