EG is looking for an Accounting Assistant for a premier AEC (Architecture, Engineering, & Construction) firm in Ann Arbor, MI! This position requires full-time, on-site presence in the Ann Arbor office location.
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) functions, assisting with billing and performing general office duties. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail, work well in a fast-paced environment and have strong computer skills.
What You’ll Do
- Enter accounts payable invoices received, and process payments promptly as directed
- Maintain accounts payable files
- Assist with processing employee expense reports
- Process cash receipts and match corresponding consultant invoices for payment
- Process incoming and outgoing mail for the accounting department
- Reconcile bank statements and AP statements of account
- Assist with monthly billing invoices
- Provide administrative support answering phones or locking doors if needed
What You’ll Bring
- General knowledge of accounting or project accounting
- Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Experience in Paycor (Expense Management) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and accounting software
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Understanding of architectural design firm, engineering firm or construction industry operations preferred
