The Customer Service Team Member provides friendly, efficient service to State Farm customers. This role supports policyholders by answering questions, processing requests, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with billing and policy changes. The team member helps ensure a positive customer experience while following company procedures, compliance requirements, and documentation standards.

- Bilingual Customer Service/Sales Representative required
- Personal line or P&C Insurance license preferred
- 1 year of insurance sales or sales/marketing preferred

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer calls, emails, and in-office inquiries in a professional, friendly manner.
- Service existing policies by:
- Processing policy changes/endorsements (within agency procedures and approved scope)
- Assisting with billing questions and payment-related tasks
- Updating customer information (address, drivers, vehicles, beneficiaries, etc.)
- Requesting and sending documents and maintaining accurate records
- Explain coverage details and next steps clearly, including required forms and timelines.
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation in agency systems.
- Route complex questions or claim-related issues to the appropriate team member/department while staying accountable for follow-up.
Sales Pivot / Growth Support
- Identify opportunities during service conversations (life events, coverage gaps, additional lines of business).
- Conduct policy reviews and provide product recommendations based on customer needs and agency guidelines.
- Gather information required for quotes and app submissions (as permitted).
- Support appointment-setting and follow-up for customers who are interested in additional products or updated coverage.
- Participate in sales activities such as:
- Reviewing customer accounts for opportunities
- Following up on leads and requests
- Tracking goals and conversion metrics as assigned
Compliance & Quality
- Follow all State Farm and agency compliance procedures, including privacy and record-keeping.
- Complete required training and follow up on quality assurance expectations (call coaching, scripts, documentation standards).
- Ensure customer information and transactions are handled accurately and timely.
- Develop marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing ones
- Breed productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc
- Evaluate business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteria
- Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles
- Report weekly/monthly progress to Agent
- Maintain database and customer records
- Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
- Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services
- Fulfill all policy and training requirements
