Job Description
We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter – F2 to install, assemble, and modify fire sprinkler piping and related components in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and modify fire sprinkler piping and related components.
- Measure, cut, thread, and join pipe.
- Mount, align, and secure sprinkler heads and hangers.
- Safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with system inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and contractors on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures.
- Complete required documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sprinkler systems, sprinkler installation, applicable codes, and basic life safety requirements.
- Experience measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe for fire protection systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and equipment used in sprinkler fitting and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and installation instructions.
- Experience in fire protection, plumbing, or related mechanical trades preferred.
- Commitment to safety practices, including PPE use and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Physical ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in varying job site conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant trade certifications or apprenticeship experience are a plus.
- Reliable transportation to East Hartford, CT job sites.
- Ability to work full-time hours with occasional overtime as needed.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
