As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Wellness (RN or LPN) to lead our clinical team, promote excellence in resident care, and help create an outstanding experience for our residents and their families.

Position Summary
Active Michigan RN or LPN license is required.
As the Director of Wellness, you will provide leadership and oversight for all clinical operations within the community. You will inspire and develop a high-performing clinical team while ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service.
Working closely with the Executive Director and community leadership team, you will build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, individualized care for every resident.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Wellness or a motivated nurse leader looking to advance into a leadership role within a respected, mission-driven organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the clinical team, including nurses, caregivers, and Medication Technicians.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, compassion, and resident-centered care.
Resident Assessments & Care Planning
- Conduct comprehensive pre-admission and admission assessments to determine resident appropriateness for the community.
- Develop and oversee individualized service plans that address each resident's physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
Clinical Operations
- Coordinate physician communications and obtain verbal and written orders for medications, laboratory testing, diagnostic services, therapies, and other clinical interventions.
- Oversee medication management, including verification of Medication Administration Records (MARs), pharmacy coordination, medication audits, and timely resolution of medication discrepancies or errors. Oversee Medication Technician program.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state licensing regulations, company policies, and clinical best practices.
- Conduct routine clinical audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain regulatory compliance and continuously improve resident care.
Family & Community Relations
- Build trusting relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, home health agencies, hospice providers, pharmacies, and referral partners.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Sales Director during the admission process to ensure smooth resident transitions and exceptional customer service.
