Job Overview
Join Numbers Consulting as a Junior Staff Accountant / Entry-Level Associate, supporting accounting, tax, or audit engagements based on business needs and assigned responsibilities. This role provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, compliance, and client service within a structured professional environment.
This position is ideal for an entry-level professional pursuing CPA licensure, seeking real client exposure, technical development, and long-term career growth.
Full-Time | Exempt
Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Additional hours and weekend work may be required during peak periods (e.g., tax season)
Engagement Responsibilities (varies based on assignment)
- Support client deliverables across accounting, tax, or audit engagements
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial, tax, or audit documentation
- Maintain accurate records, supporting schedules, and working papers
- Enter and validate data in firm systems and software platforms
- Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and compliance-related tasks
- Support month-end, year-end, or engagement-specific closing procedures
- Participate in testing, verification, or documentation review as needed
- Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve requests
- Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed accurately
- Support process improvements, templates, and workflow enhancements
Assignments are determined based on business needs, individual skills, and development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Actively pursuing CPA licensure or eligibility
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn accounting, tax, or audit systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a structured environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
