Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Location: Putnam County Hospital
Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential to extend
Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Department: Emergency Department
Putnam County Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a full-time night-shift opportunity with the potential for an extension.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency setting and providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of urgent and critical conditions.
Position Details

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
Preferred Certifications
Responsibilities
- Assess and care for patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency-care protocols
