Job Skills/Requirements

To qualify, the applicant must have the following:

Must have or obtain a security guard license through either Oregon DPSST

Must obtain the additional Army and USACE-specific training
Perform security services as further described in the project specific guidance (Site Specific Instructions), which includes surveillance and patrol of structures, facilities, roadways; controlling access to secured areas; inspecting vehicles and/or deliveries; assisting and directing visitors; checking IDs
Conducting Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs) and reporting suspicious behavior.
Armed guard duties shall include time spent speaking with Law Enforcement Officers, attorneys, prosecutors, etc., and/or testifying in court when connected to a documented USACE incident occurring while on duty.
Qualifications:

Certification Requirements (All)
Baton/OC/Handcuff certificates
Weapons permit
High School Diploma/ GED
CPR/First Aid/AED certificates
Valid Driver's License
Must be 21 years old
Must be able to work flexible schedules and overtime if required

Other Qualifications:

Prior to offer of employment must successfully complete
- Drug Screen
- Physical Exam
- Extensive background check to include criminal record
Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions (moderate to extreme heat or cold)

Walking, Standing, Climbing, Running
Education Requirements (Any)
High School Diploma or Equivalent from an Institution accredited by the US Dept. of Education
