Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Overnight Truck Delivery Driver Immediate Hire to start 3rd shift delivering Amazon pallets to post offices. This is a 1099 position paid weekly.
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during route driving.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices.
- Manage the entire delivery process from warehouse to customer location, including moving goods within warehouse operations when necessary.
- Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, track deliveries, and communicate with dispatch teams.
- Load and secure shipments properly to prevent damage during transit, utilizing manual transmission vehicles when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly, courteously engaging with recipients, and addressing any delivery concerns professionally.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, weight handling in the workplace, and safe operation of material handling equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and moving goods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services preferred.
- Ability to operate box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission; familiarity with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices essential.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and route driving best practices for overnight deliveries.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and communication during deliveries.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts.
- Class E Driver's License or better
- Current Medical Card
- Clean MVR
- Must pass background check
Pay: $170.00 - $220.00 per day
