Spenceton Educational Evaluation Services PLLC is a Houston-based special education evaluation firm partnering with school districts across the Houston area to deliver reliable, professional, student-focused evaluations. We're expanding our subcontractor team ahead of an August 2026 district contract start.
Position Summary
We're seeking a licensed School Psychologist to conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students being assessed for special education eligibility. This is a flexible, contract-based role ideal for psychologists seeking additional caseload or a primary source of evaluation work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations (cognitive, academic, behavioral/emotional) as part of FIEs
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological assessments
- Write clear, timely, and legally compliant evaluation reports using district templates (Frontline portal)
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed to present findings and eligibility determinations
- Maintain compliance with district and TEA requirements, including background check/fingerprinting through IdentoGO
Qualifications
- Valid Texas LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) credential
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a public school setting
- Strong report-writing and clinical judgment skills
- Reliable transportation for travel between campuses
- Ability to pass required background check/fingerprinting
Compensation & Terms
- $61.50/hour, 1099 independent contractor
