Job Summary:
The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children while supporting their development through play-based learning and age-appropriate activities. The ideal candidate will foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative, high-quality childcare program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Support routines including mealtime, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions.
- Interact with children in a positive and respectful manner, encouraging independence and appropriate behavior.
- Observe and document children’s development; communicate observations with the Lead Teacher and/or Director.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and communicate effectively regarding their child’s day.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Must pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
