American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Mayfield, KY, requiring L&D experience and multiple required certifications for a 13-week day shift contract.

Labor and Delivery unit within a community hospital setting (8-bed unit)
-
Patient population includes OB, nursery, occasional GYN surgery, and occasional cosmetic/reconstructive procedures (abdominoplasty, breast reduction)

Patient ratios follow AWHONN Standards

EMR system: MediTech
-
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required as needed
-
On-call required as needed

13-week contract
-
Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact RN license valid for Kentucky required

Minimum 1 year of OB/L&D nursing experience required

Charge nurse experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued and in hand prior to start

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Orientation is held on Mondays

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere while on assignment

First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but L&D and charge experience is required
