Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $2,380.70. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Annual salary: $57,136.76
Job Location: This position is located at the Knipp Building; 3418 Knipp Drive, Jefferson City, MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

In this role, you will work independently to analyze data, develop recommendations, collaborate with staff across multiple departments, and provide support in identifying fraud, waste, and abuse within the MO HealthNet and Managed Care programs.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
What you’ll do:
- Collect, extract, interpret, and analyze Missouri Medicaid data from sources such as Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), EHR systems, claims databases, and other possible health registries.
- Translate program and policy questions into structured analytical queries and measurable metrics
by arranging them into organized tables, reports, narrative summaries, charts, and/or dashboards.
- Build, maintain, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Work with program managers, policy specialists, and clinical teams to interpret results and recommend actionable insights.
- Use analytical tools and query languages (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI) for data extraction, visualization, and automation.
- Collaborate with staff, supervisors, administrative personnel, contractors, and consultants to gather information, provide guidance, and implement effective organizational methods and procedures.
- Perform statistical analyses such as trend analysis, forecasting, cost evaluations, and utilization assessments.
Ensure data governance, privacy, and security standards are met in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications:
The person in this position should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
· Experience with data analysis of programs involving Medicaid or public health services.
- Ability to write ad-hoc reports and prepare detailed reports.
- Teach new staff the basics of how to efficiently and accurately use the Fraud, Waste and Abuse reporting tool.
- Ability to learn new web‑based applications.
- Support staff by generating reports and summarizing research findings.
- Knowledge of MO HealthNet programs, claims processes, and the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SQL, and general Intranet/Internet navigation.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate a wide range of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, technical data, and system‑related information relevant to MMAC’s use of the MMIS.
- Knowledge of statistical methodologies; experience with professional statistical software is highly desirable.
