Outside Plant Engineer, Baltimore Area - Salaried, Full-Time Position.

This is a hybrid position. The successful candidate will work up to 75% of the time on a client site, and approximately 25% remotely from home. Work for this role will be primarily in the Baltimore area but may also include other travel as necessary.

Desired Skills & Experience
The following experience for this position matters to us (any or all of these are a plus):
- You have at least five or more years of experience designing fiber optic, coaxial or telephone outside plant.
- You have worked with or are able to learn to work with electronic GPS-based design equipment.
- You are well-organized, thorough and precise in taking field notes.
- You have the ability to write brief memos and notes for reporting and documentation.
- You have the ability to review design drawings.
- You have knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies and best practices.
- You have experience with state and local permitting processes.
- You have experience with pole attachment and make ready.
About the Job
This position will include the following tasks:
- Aid in creating project budgets for Outside Plant Design and Construction.
- Aid in coordination of Outside and Inside Plant design and construction activities.
- Become familiar with the different systems needed to fulfill the job requirements within your first month.
- Deliver jobs on-time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Have extremely strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This position requires a little more than a desk and a computer. You will be outside, in the elements fairly often at construction sites to review work. You should be able to utilize hand tools, a cellular telephone and a significant amount of test equipment. Additionally, you must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop and reach.
