Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Cost Manager oversees project cost controls for Evans, ensuring accurate forecasting, financial performance, and compliance across assigned projects. This role supports Project Managers, Preconstruction and Scheduling through cost baseline development, forecasting, change management, and financial reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead project financial controls to ensure alignment with budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Manage the full Change Management lifecycle, including potential changes, change order requests, prime contract changes, and subcontractor changes with the Project Team.
- Maintain cost projections and forecasting, including client cashflow reporting and adherence to WBS (Work Breakdown Structures).
- Coordinate with Accounting and Project Coordinators to produce accurate Owner pay applications and support subcontractor pay application reviews.
- Facilitate meetings on change management, projections, and billing.
- Implement project controls reporting and project health metrics.
- Partner with Scheduling on Time Impact Analyses and EVM/Cost Loading efforts.
- Support Preconstruction on Owner award notifications and subcontract/purchase order processes.
- Assist with document control for design updates.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
- Salary Range: $95,000 to $150,000
- Bonus: Up to 25% base salary commensurate with performance
- 401(k) Profit Sharing: Up to 10% of base salary
- Vehicle Allowance: $426.92/bi-weekly

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Construction, EPC, or Project Controls.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Large project experience where collaboration with external cost consultants is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software; experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud Cost Management, Procore Financials, and Viewpoint Vista preferred.
