American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Lafayette, IN serving ICU, Med/Surg, ER, and Level III NICU populations.

Work in a Respiratory Care department within a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Lafayette, IN
-
Patient populations span ICU/CCU, Med/Surg, Emergency Room, and Level III NICU
-
160-bed unit with a night shift staffing complement of 4–4.5 staff minimum
-
RVU-based patient assignment system

Equipment includes PB ventilators, Dräger V500, Aerogen, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C transport ventilator, Oscillator, Jet ventilator, and Nitric Oxide delivery systems

EMR: Epic
-
Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 36-hour weekly schedule (3x12s)

Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

No on-call requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg, ER, and ICU settings
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
-
Level III NICU experience strongly preferred; candidates without this experience may not be considered

Proficiency with BiPAP, mechanical ventilators, and Heated High Flow (HHFNC) units required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US SSN required
-
License required if applicable

Responsibilities include managing ventilators and BiPAP, operating HHFNC units, assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies, and proficient EMR charting

Candidates must be adaptable and willing to assist with higher-acuity patients and heavier workloads

EKG testing is required as part of the consideration process; candidates have 2 attempts and may reapply after 30 days if unsuccessful

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
