Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Handyman and Building Maintenance professional to join our team. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility systems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and structural components to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise minor projects or work performed by contractors or other team members when necessary.
- Assist with facilities maintenance for residential or commercial properties, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding and residential painting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring plans.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits with tools like ohmmeters and understanding programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Supervising experience in managing small teams or contractors is a plus.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
